I have a dream that one day little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls. - Martin Luther King Jr. Racism has to be one of the most disturbing topics to cover. As a black female in such an unforgiving world, it unnerves me to no end to know that such a hatred can arise because of the colour of your skin. Racism originated from the years of slavery, it was the way that the whites retained the psychological chains on the black community - which still remain until this day. "Racism is more than what is in the heart of an individual person at the moment of a particular act. Racism is the cumulative history of all those thoughts and acts. They add up to a pattern in which people of color are routinely and systematically treated differently than white people," expressed an article from TIME.
